I have been a tutor at The University of Queensland since Semester 1, 2018. I've tutored the following courses:
MATH1050 (Mathematical Foundations II)
MATH1052 (Multivariate Calculus & Ordinary Differential Equations)
MATH1052 Matlab
MATH1061 (Discrete Mathematics)
MATH1071 (Advanced Calculus & Linear Algebra I)
MATH1071 Matlab
MATH1072 (Advanced Multivariate Calculus & Ordinary Differential Equations)
MATH1072 Matlab
MATH2001 (Calculus & Linear Algebra II), also assisted in creating several videos for an online module
MATH2010 (Analysis of Ordinary Differential Equations)
MATH3102 (Methods & Models of Applied Mathematics)
MATH3401 (Complex Analysis)
MATH3403 (Partial Differential Equations)
MATH4107 (Advanced Mathematical Methods & Models)
STAT1301 (Advanced Analysis of Scientific Data)
I have also been the 'supertutor' for the Matlab component of several first year maths courses:
MATH1051: 2019/20 summer sem, 2020 sem 1, 2020 sem 2
MATH1052: 2019/20 summer sem, 2020/21 summer sem, 2021 sem 1, 2021 sem 2
MATH1071: 2019 sem 1, 2020 sem 1, 2024 sem 1
This is primarily an administrative role.
In January 2018 and 2019, I volunteered as a tutor at the Queensland Mathematics Summer School, a 5-day enrichment program for grade 11 students. I presented a 1hr talk in both years; in 2018 I discussed a gentle introduction to graph theory, and in 2019 I discussed topology and the classification of closed surfaces.
In January 2019, I tutored at the National Mathematics Summer School, held over 2 weeks at the Australian National University. This is an enrichment program for grade 12 students where they study topics such as knot theory, projective geometry and elementary number theory.
